Concept
METHODS converges and connects research communities that conduct methodologically-similar empirical research on human behavior. The disciplinary scope is Sports Science, Economics, Social Sciences, Psychology, and Medical Informatics. METHODS enables human-centric, efficient and FAIR research data management by creating interoperability among the numerous digital tools researchers in these communities have developed and actively use in research. The Toolmakers and their scientific user communities are integral part of METHODS.
Goals
- Securing data directly at data generating places
- Development, provision and implementation of standards and norms
- Ensuring the long-term availability of data generated by communities
- Transdisciplinarity and the extension of the current disciplinary boundaries
To achieve these goals, METHODS provides different Services covering the whole research life cycle.
